Early Symptoms of Cancer

by Keserasera 2022. 12. 2.

Early Symptoms of Cancer

Lung Cancer

10-20% of people with lung cancer experience gastrointestinal issues. This is due to hypercalcemia, where excessive calcium builds up in the body. As a result, many people suffer from abdominal pain, nausea, and constipation. They may feel like they don't want to eat or drink anything, and sometimes experience stomach cramps. Additionally, if lung cancer spreads to the back, it can cause persistent pain in the back, shoulder blades, and upper arms. Other symptoms may include droopy eyelids or swollen fingertips.

Blood Cancer

Night sweats during sleep can be a symptom of blood cancer. Blood cancer cells release inflammatory substances without cause, which triggers an immune response in the body, resulting in sweating. This can also be accompanied by whole-body itching. When blood cancer develops, cancer cells infiltrate various parts of the body, causing inflammation under the skin and leading to widespread itching. If these symptoms are accompanied by unexplained weight loss of more than 3 kg in a month, and lumps are felt in the neck, armpits, or groin, it's recommended to get tested for blood cancer.

Ovarian Cancer

Symptoms of ovarian cancer include abdominal bloating, a feeling of fullness, discomfort while eating, abdominal pain, frequent urination, or a sudden urgent need to urinate.

Head and Neck Cancer

If your voice changes suddenly, it may be a sign of head and neck cancer. The head and neck region is responsible for breathing, smelling, chewing, swallowing, vocalizing, and speaking. If cancer develops in this area, it can cause issues with breathing, eating, and speaking.

Bladder Cancer

A study conducted by researchers at King’s College London on 762,325 people aged 15 and older found that 11,108 of the participants experienced blood in their urine. Of these, 472 men (7.4%) and 162 women (3.4%) were diagnosed with bladder cancer three years later.

Respiratory Cancer

If you experience unexplained coughing up of blood (hemoptysis), you should check whether it might be respiratory cancer.
